A 3 way tri clamp ball valve allows the user to easily change the direction of flow with one valve and eliminates the need for hooking and unhooking hoses in the assembly. Using tri clamp ends allow for sanitary connections. In breweries, these setups are common for hot side use where the advantages allow the brewer to avoid contact with hot water or wort.
