No one wants trub in their fermenter as this can cause "off flavors" in your beer. We have designed this brew kettle to use a whirlpool effect just as in professional breweries. A tangential inlet is used to create the whirlpool as you pump from the wort outlet and back in through the tangential inlet. This causes trub and hops to gather into a cone on the bottom of the kettle.
This particular kettle also features a dish bottom to facilitate this whirlpool effect more efficiently and leave more trub and hops behind.

This stainless steel brew kettle features:
- Flat Bottom
- Tangential Inlet
- Element Port
- Level Sensor Port
- Removable trub dam
- Dam height = 2.4”H and it covers a 110° range
- Laser etched gallon markings on inner wall of tank from 3 to 20 gallons
- 1.5" TC port for electric element
- 1.5" TC port for level sensor or TC type temperature probe (element and sensor not included)
- Thermowell (front of kettle)
- (2) 3/4 in. valves
- (2) 1/2 in. hose barbs
- Clamps and gaskets for provided kettle attachments
- NOTE: Customer to provide clamps and hardware for the element and level sensor ports
